Mike Taylor, multi-instrumentalist for Canadian pop band Walk Off The Earth, has died from natural causes.
The band member, also known as Beard Guy, was confirmed to have passed away Sunday 30 December in his sleep in an official statement.
Posted by the band, the statement read: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and band member, Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor.
Mike had a love for life that was unmatched and a willingness to give that went beyond ordinary means. He passed peacefully from natural causes last night in his sleep.
Our deepest sympathies are with his two children, whom he adored more than anything else in the world. We ask for privacy for his family in this trying time.

Taylor played a number of instruments within the band, including keyboards, organ, vocals, glockenspiel, trumpet, didgeridoo and kazoo.
Walk Off The Earth shot to fame with their cover of Gotyes Somebody That I Used To Know, before signing to Columbia Records and releasing two albums in 2013s R.E.V.O. and 2015s Sing It All Away.
The pop band were scheduled to play a New Years Eve concert special on Canadian television, and are scheduled to play Londons SSE Arena in July 2019.
Its currently unknown whether the bands scheduled world tour, with gigs spanning Vancouver to Europe, will continue following Mikes passing.
