HUMBLE. as an Evanescence goth-rock banger? Yes, please.

Ariana Grande covered tracks by Kendrick Lamar and Drake last night during her comeback appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Grande, who gave her first interview since the tragic Manchester terror attack last year, took part in the popular Musical Genre Challenge where guests sing well-known tunes in different vocal styles.

The singer performed Kendrick Lamars hit single HUMBLE. as a goth-rock ballad à la Evanescence and Drakes Gods Plan in the style of a 90s diva. While Fallon gave a country twang to Ushers 2004 smash Yeah!. Watch the clip below. She totally smashed it.

During the episode, Grande also took the opportunity to announce her new album Sweetener. Produced by Pharrell Williams and scheduled for release this summer, the record is about bringing light to a situation in someones life, said Grande.

She also teased the official drop date, explaining her plans to do something special on every 20th during the albums promotion. But she later revealed there were only three 20ths until Sweetener hits shelves — making the logical date some time between 21 July and 20 August.

Later, Grande grew visibly emotional when host Jimmy Fallon paid tribute to her strong response in the wake of last years Manchester terror attack. On 4 June 2017, just 13 days after the attack at Manchester Arena killed 22 people, Grande returned to the city to front the One Love Manchester benefit gig. Coldplay, Liam Gallagher and Miley Cyrus were among the all star line-up.

I know its tough for everybody, tough for fans and tough for you, and I know you havent done any interviews, and I understand that, said Fallon.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming on the show and for being strong and for entertaining and for showing up and going back to Manchester and doing a benefit. I thought that was awesome of you. I just think youre so strong and so cool.
