The Grim Reaper knows its always a busy time in soapland so hes getting his affairs in order early in Coronation Street as news reaches two upset residents that friends have died. As Audrey Roberts is informed that Archie Shuttleworth has passed away, Sinead Tinker is crushed when she hears that Steff has lost her battle with cancer – and theres more bad news to come.
And if Brian Packham carries on the way he is going then he may well be next as the stress of his job and Phils bullying causes him to collapse. In other Weatherfield developments, Jenny Connor continues to target Liz McDonald while Chesney Brown and Kirk Sutherland are Weatherfields latest unlikely crime duo.

Monday 10th December Part One
Phil orders Brian to rewrite the whole script after watching a dress rehearsal for the play and as an exhausted Brian gets to work, he suddenly faints, knocking himself out as he hits his head on a table.

Daniel is dismayed by the revelations about Sinead, who is told that her cancer has spread and she needs to resume chemotherapy. As Beth finds a specialist cancer clinic in Germany, she clocks the combination for the Underworld safe.
Jenny follows Liz when she heads out and finds her kissing Mike outside the cab office while Toyah isnt happy to hear that Nick is moving in.
Monday 10th December Part Two
Liz cancels plans with Eileen to meet Mike for dinner and Jenny spies an opportunity to stir trouble. As she sends Eileen to the bistro on an apparent favour, Liz spots her coming in and hides under the table.
Kirk is suspicious of Beths intentions and she later shares her plan with Chesney that she wants him to fake a mugging at the kebab shop to raise money for Sinead. Meanwhile, Sinead reveals to Daniel that Ken was funding her alternative treatment.
Phil taunts Brian after he is found passed out and suggests teaching clearly isnt for him while Cathy is worried when she hears about what happened. Toyah announces that Imran is moving in too.
Wednesday 12th December Part One
After Chesney finds Sinead distraught when Steff dies, he agrees to go along with Beths plan and a masked Kirk grabs the takings from him and runs up the street, with a furious Dev giving chase.
Leanne orders Toyah to join her for lunch so they can sort out the tensions between them while Brian is diagnosed with heart palpitations so Cathy insists that he reports Phils bullying to the headteacher.

Robert secretly joins Kate for a consultation at the fertility clinic while Michelle confides in Carla that he is lying to her.
Wednesday 12th December Part Two
Nick admits to Leanne that he is struggling for money due to what happened with Elsa and the fact that he has promised to pay her back the £40k he owes her. Michelle inquires about counselling over Ruairi.
Phil apologises to Brian, making him hope that things will improve. Sinead is touched when she is presented with the cash by Beth but when she realises what has happened, she returns the money to a suspicious Dev, who checks the CCTV and makes a discovery.
Friday 14th December Part One
Robert and Kate suffer a near miss when they attend their appointment and see Michelle there. After Robert agrees to go through with the plan, they head home to tell Michelle and Rana but when Michelle tells Robert she will consider trying for a baby, everything changes.
Chesney takes the blame when Dev threatens to report Sinead to the police while Brian is unnerved when Phil and the headteacher spring a surprise classroom observation on him.
Tyrone ropes in Roy to help find Cerberus while Nick decides to sell his car.
Friday 14th December Part Two
Brian fears he will lose his job as Phil and the head spring a surprise lesson observation on him while Kate waits to speak to Rana as Robert races to stop her. Daniel takes a stand over the robbery, blaming Chesney and Beth for putting added stress on Sinead.
Audrey tells Rita that their friend Archie Shuttleworth has died while Roy and Tyrone get a lead on Cerberus so Evelyn insists that Roy takes her out in his car to get answers on where the missing dog is.
