Shirley Carter is not someone wed ever dream of crossing so when she rampages back to EastEnders and discovers how far Linda has gone in cutting all ties with Mick, she is furious – and takes action.
Linda has not only ditched Micks legal representation but also refuses to visit and has taken off her wedding ring. And, whats really galling the rest of the family is that she is getting on very well with Stuart Highway – the man who has framed Mick for the shooting.
Tina, Whitney and Halfway continue to pile the pressure on Linda to visit her husband but she is sticking to her guns. When Stuart then shows up in the pub, Tina has a go at him but Linda stands up for him. Horrified by Lindas behaviour, Whitney speaks up for incarcerated Mick to get the locals on board.
Later, Stuart tells Linda that it neednt be the end for her and Mick – theres always hope. With all of this going on, Shirley suddenly returns and loses her temper with both Linda and Stuart. After lashing out, Shirley assures Tina that she for one is not giving up on Mick and she contacts Phil Mitchell to ask for his help in convincing Ritchie to take Micks case back on.
With Linda having told them to leave, Shirley and Tina arrive at the pub to collect their belongings but Shirley turns the tables and launches Lindas belongings over the bar before kicking her and Stuart out.

Linda ends up staying at Stuarts before then storming back to the Vic in order to reclaim her home. She calls the police but as Shirley stands her ground, the situation spirals out of control.
The battle lines are drawn between Shirley and Linda – but who will come out on top and how far will Shirley go to defend Mick?
