Another week, another McQueen wedding – and, as per Hollyoaks tradition, its going to be dramatic and must see television. As Hollyoaks airs its first ever non-Christmas hour long special, Mercedes is preparing for a perfect day that is going to be anything but.

With Russ Owen having slept with Goldie ahead of the big day, he is keen to keep his infidelity under wraps but Mercy is suspicious when she gets earrings instead of the necklace she knows he bought.

With Russ having given the necklace to Goldie in order to buy her silence, he desperately tries to cover and begs Goldie to hide the necklace – but Mercedes catches him trying to get the jewellery from her and understandably wants answers.

Russ appears to wriggle his way out of this one as the wedding is full steam ahead and the focal point of the hour long episode but Goldie is miserable during the festivities in the run up to the big day – and Mercedes wonders why.

Russ is getting more and more on edge and this leads to him angrily having a go at Max, something which Breda witnesses. But will she tell Mercy herself or keep this information for future use?

On the big day, Mercedes is dressed up to the nines and as she reminisces about her many failed marriages in her young life, she is optimistic that this one will be different. But our hopes arent as high!

It gets off to a bad start when Father Dan cant do the service so Joel Dexter is forced to step in – which is awkward for Cleo, especially when she finds out that he too shared a kiss with Goldie.

The ceremony is underway and Loose Women Linda Robson and Janet Street Porter are even in attendance, albeit a little late.

Mercedes faces her husband to be at the altar but as they prepare to exchange their vows, what could possibly go wrong? This is Hollyoaks – so expect anything!

One to watch: Thursday 15th November at 7pm on E4.
