KISS are performing a gig for great white sharks – yes, you read that correctly
Legendary rock band KISS have probably played every major gig venue in the world at this point in their 45-year career.
But the rock gods are now taking their sound to knew heights, or rather, depths – by performing a gig for great white sharks.
Let us explain.
Gene Simmons and cos upcoming concert will take place on a glass bottom boat near Port Lincoln, South Australia and will raise money for a welfare charity.
The gig has come about after a partnership with Airbnb to promote the travel brands Animal Experiences programmes.
Australia has some of the most shark-infested waters on Earth, with Port Lincoln a popular spot for cage diving with great whites.
Airbnb claim sharks respond to the low-frequency sounds of rock and roll.
The gig, named Shark Rock City, will take place on 18 November.

The Animal Experiences programme is said to be a new way to meet animals with experts who care for their welfare.
KISSs announcement follows news that their headline slot at next years Download Festival will be their last.
The guys – who are currently on their End of the Road World Tour – will be performing at the rock festival in Donington Park on 12 June.
