EXO star D.O. is set to begin his mandatory military enlistment next week – and his bandmates arent letting him go without saying goodbye.

The K-pop group gathered for a sweet family dinner ahead of Kyungsoos enlistment on 1 July.

Sehun shared a picture of the meal, which saw him, D.O., Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol and Kai gathered around a long table in a restaurant, with a huge dish on a burner in the centre.

Weve gotta say, were feeling pretty hungry as well as emotional.

Lay was missing from the meal as he is promoting music in China, while Xiumin is currently serving in the military, having enlisted in the armed forces on 7 May.

D.O. will be the second member of the band to enter the military, with SM Entertainment confirming the news back in May.

The For Life singer shared a letter on EXOs fanclub site, saying: Hello, this is D.O. of EXO.

EXO-Ls, the sudden news must have been surprising for everyone right? I wanted to first share the news [with you], so I have a heavy heart because I feel like its a little late. Im posting this letter because I wanted to let you know that as much as this decision was made after lots of consideration, I will return [after serving] healthily and safely.

I sincerely thank EXO-Ls, who are always supportive, and I hope that everyone will always be healthy and have [days] that are filled with things that make you laugh. I will carefully serve and return to greet you all with a healthy image.

D.O., real name Doh Kyung-soo, has asked that his enlistment location and time be kept private.

Judging by their ages, Suho will possibly enlist by next year, while Chanyeol, Chen and Baekhyun are expected to enlist by 2021.

Finally, Kai and Sehun, both born in 1994, will have to enlist by 2023 – meaning EXO may not be back together as a full group unil 2025.

D.O.s enlistment will be marked by SM as they revealed they will be releasing a special solo track through SM Station next week.
