A fan war has erupted between K-pop girl groups TWICE and Black Pink after TWICE member Chaeyoung sported an orange hair color with full bangs.

After the photos were uploaded on TWICEs official Instagram account, some Black Pink fans began posting hateful messages on the account, accusing Chaeyoung of copying Black Pinks Lisa – who previously had orange hair and a full fringe.

TWICE and Black Pink belong to famous agencies. TWICE are under JYP Entertainment while Black Pink are under YG Entertainment.

Some of the mean comments read: Ugly Chaeyoung. Pretty Lisa; You copying Lisa; She looks ugly. Only Lisa can pull it off; and That hair is trouble.

On TWICEs Instagram account, others have defended Chaeyoung, saying that this is not the first time that a K-pop idol wore an orange hair color. Those who sported it before include 2NE1s Park Bom and Hyuna.

Others criticized Blinks (Black Pink fans) for posting mean comments against Chaeyoung.

Because some Blinks are stupid and narrow minded thats why they think they own everything, its disgusting, one fan wrote.

Others pleaded to stop the hatred.

Stop this guys… These hate comments is not only from lisa stans but also from those people who hate lisa… Please stop dragging lisa here… Its not her fault… Respect please, she did even make a comment here…. Please stop hating that gir (lisa).. And to.chaeyoung.. The hairstyle suits her [sic] a fan posted on Instagram.

One wrote: I would also like to apologize in behalf of those immature Blinks commenting that she copied Lisa. Im so sorry if you had to read all of that. I love Blackpink and Twice so much. I just hope that this fan war would end soon. Im waiting for BLACKPINKs comeback and I hope this disrespect towards acts wont happen again.

Black Pink are set to release their first mini-album Square Up on 15 June.
