Cowaramup Bulls host Hawks 9s and 11s

Cowaramup Bulls Red hosted Margaret River Hawks Navy in Cowaramup last Saturday for 9s and 11s games with the Hawks Navy team putting together a great display of team football and making life very hard for the Bulls players. The Bulls kids didn't give up and also strung together some good passages of play the longer the game went on. The 11s game was a closer contest, with Navy possibly just in front at half time. Anaru Day played a blinder of a game for Bulls Red, prompting manager Chris Mulcahy to ask him if he was tired at half time! Raph Juniper was also in the action for Red along with Marvin Ferris and Zac Mulcahy. Ezra Mann also tried hard for Bulls. Bulls 11s coach Pete Mammone commented on the great teamwork on display but said the kids needed to work on holding their positions so that defenders had someone to kick to as they carried the ball out of the backlines.
