If you havent seen Netflixs latest smash production Bird Box yet, then you might want to cover your eyes.

The Sandra Bullock-starring, post-apocalyptic horror has been chilling viewers across the world since it debuted on the streaming service just before Christmas, with fans even being inspired to do the very-inadvisable Bird Box Challenge after watching the movie.

Heres a little tip: dont do the Bird Box Challenge.

Away from the memes and the hype surrounding the movie, fans of Bird Box have also been making a pilgrimage to the house which prominently features in the film – inadvertently turning it into something of a tourist attraction.

Located in the Los Angeles suburb of Monrovia, the house in question is the setting where Bullocks character Malorie Hayes seeks shelter when the world starts to go to shit.

Speaking to TMZ, the owner of the plush residence has said that shes been visited by a handful of visitors every day in recent weeks who are keen to take pictures of the house and its stone steps.

So far, the selfie-seekers have been pretty polite – with the owner telling the outlet that people have even knocked on her door to ask permission before taking their snaps.

Revealing that she was paid $12,000 (£9,500) by Netflix for the exterior shots of her home, the owner – who also disclosed that the residence has featured in three other movies over the past 20 years – then said that she doesnt intend to watch Bird Box as she doesnt have a Netflix subscription.

Well, thats one way to escape the murderous glare of the seemingly-invisible monsters who cause all the havoc in the movie…
