Its been one hell of an arduous year for Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk but there could at least be some hope on the horizon as Lucy Pargeter and Dominic Brunt arent ruling out a wedding for their long suffering characters.
The loss of Grace almost destroyed them but recently they have been working through their grief together and are in a much stronger place as a unit. And Lucy has some ideas on how she might like Chas and Paddys wedding to be if and when is does play out.
She told Metro.co.uk: Id like to have a Dingle wedding and walk down the aisle and not jilt someone or for it to last for just a day. But do it in the summer please, we do everything in winter and its freezing cold. But we have got something else next year that isnt a wedding…
But before even that, there is a big shock on the way as Mandy suddenly arrives back in the village – with the news that she has a 16-year-old son called Vinnie. And when Chas sees the old flames together, she cant help but feel threatened and soon lashes out at Mandy.

Dominic explained: Mandy says something, they have a little giggle and a little moment where they remember old times and just at that moment Chas turns up.
He completely and utterly loves Chas and especially after what theyve been through he doesnt want to lose her. Has a little flirt with Mandy and remembers they got on. But he would never do anything.
Whether or not Vinnie turns out to be Paddys remains to be seen but the actors admitted that it could potentially cause more hurdles for their alter egos.
Lucy teased: They could take it in any direction – hes already got a son of sorts in Aaron. If he had a biological son that could have implications on his relationship with Aaron, would he favour? Im not a writer and no idea of the plans but the opportunities are endless if it is.
Dom added: It would be great to play it but they are opening the door a little bit then shutting it. Potentially its great – you can do anything, thats the fun of it.
