Courtney Act sets her sights on Eurovision Song Contest glory as she makes a bid to represent Australia
Celebrity Big Brother star Courtney Act thinks shes Australias best hope of winning Eurovision Song Contest in 2019.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star has thrown her hat into the ring to represent her native at next years contest and show the country how much shes grown as an artist.
Sixteen years after appearing on the first season of Australian Idol, the singer and drag act alter ego of Shane Jenek will make her bid with dancefloor banger Fight For Love.
But first, she will have to compete on Eurovision: Australia Decides in February in order for the nation to choose who will represent the country.
Act said: A sweet 16 years after Australian Idol, I have the chance to show Australia how I have grown as an artist and performer and I am so excited!

To compete to represent Oz in Eurovision is second only to being on that stage in Tel Aviv and singing my lungs out for my country.
Courtneys new single Fight For Love is what she calls a dancefloor banger and its all about coming together for things we believe in.
She continued: I think its so important to think about the basic human rights of others and to use our collective voices, minds and bodies to lift those people up and bring about change.
Earlier this year, Act landed a job hosting new bisexual reality dating show The Bi Life on the E! channel.

She will host a Christmas TV special, Courtney Acts Christmas Extravaganza, on Christmas Eve on Channel 4.
Act is also known for appearing in US TV series RuPauls Drag Race, but she rose to fame in the UK after winning this years Celebrity Big Brother with a huge portion of the vote.
Australia has been eligible to take part in Eurovision since 2015.
The country was allowed to enter the competition to mark the events 60th anniversary.
The grand final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Tel Aviv, Israel, in May.
