We need to get on board this Coronation Street tattoo train because it seems to be a thing and its growing.

Hot on the heels of Richard Draper, whos joined the protest to Save Our Sally in a very permanent way, Rebecca Haynes is on his wavelength with a reminder of the time Deidre was locked up, among many, many other Corrie reminders.

In fact, her legs contain the faces of many Corrie old favourites, including Elsie Tanner, Deirdre Rachid and even killer Richard Hillman. Shes even got The Rovers Return and the flying ducks from Hilda Ogdens mural inked on there.

Its taken 35 hours over a five-year period for Rebecca to get this far, and theres plenty more Corrie storylines and flesh to cover.

People may think Im crackers although I dont think it is any different to showing your love for your favourite football team, she said.

People around here may have Sunderland tattoos or Newcastle United tattoos and no-one says anything.

Ill never say never but I think that will be it for now although you never know what might inspire me in the show in the future.

Rebecca said the inspiration behind her tattoo was her aunt, Edna Slater, who was a huge fan until she died aged 76 in 1999.

Every Friday from about the age of four I used to stay over with her and play out before getting called in to watch the show with her, Rebecca said. Ive been a fan ever since, try never to miss an episode and am working through all the box sets from the very start in the 1960s.

Ive got to the 1970s so Ive still got a long way to go before I get to where I started watching the show at the start of the 1990s.

Thats many more Corrie storylines to go and an infinite number of possibilities for new artwork.
