US expert: The media campaign against Saudi Crown Prince has failed

Jim Hanson, the president of the Security Studies Group, said that the media campaign against Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, led by Washington Post, has failed, in reference to the coverage of the killing of Saudi citizen and journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The US expert asserting that President Donald Trump strongly supports Saudi Arabia, describing this stance as the right thing to do.

Hanson tweeted : “This is the right thing for US strategic interests.”

He added that US President strongly supports “our ally Saudi Arabia.”

Earlier, Hanson said that the leaks of classified information that the Washington Post and other news outlets are relying on regarding the Khashoggi case are “not something that should be the final say”.

“The State Department is saying the correct thing. This is not a final report. These leaks of classified information that the Washington Post and others are relying on are not something that should be the final say. So lets wait to see what it says,” Hanson told Fox & Friends on Sunday.
