It may look like Max Branning is seething that someone left the lid off the jam but in actual fact, he has far more playing on his mind as the custody battle with Cora Cross leads to a shocking revelation that turns everything upside down in EastEnders.
At the moment, Max is feeling hopeful that he and Rainies united front will give them a good chance at custody. With Cora struggling to care for Abi, Max has a new solicitor who tells him that he has a good case.

But his jubilant mood doesnt last long as a letter from Coras solicitor drops one heck of a bombshell and Max realises that his chances of getting custody of Abi may have been ruined forever.
As he reels from the letter, he confronts Rainie with it and an argument breaks out, causing a furious Max to lash out and smash a mug in anger. Rainie tries to calm him down but Max now thinks his efforts have all been for nothing.

What follows is another blazing showdown with Cora as emotions run high but will the anger in the air just further damage Max and Rainies case?
