YouTube remove The Nun jump scare ad from platform as its deemed too terrifying
Those who cannot handle jump scares are advised not to go see The Conjuring spin-off The Nun.
But for a few days, YouTube was a no-go zone too.
YouTube has removed an ad for the upcoming horror film after it was deemed too terrifying.
The ad, which played before standard, non-petrifying-stories-about-phantom-nun ads on YouTube, was just six seconds long and featured an unthreatening volume symbol being dialled down.
However, when the volume was lowered, the face of the titular Nun sprung up, accompanied by a high-pitched shriek.
Basically, enough to have you jump out of your skin while youre just trying to stream BTS videos or Jesy Nelsons attempt at a Jamaican accent.

There are 8 second ads for both slenderman and the nun that are doing this on YouTube
this is how you get people to not see your movie— errorboy! (dalton) (@errorboy111) August 13, 2018

While the ad is now gone, the trailer for The Nun is pretty frightening too.
The opening seconds of the latest teaser sees a priest being buried alive, and things just get worse from there.
