(Picture: ITV)

Keegan Baker has been left destroyed in EastEnders tonight after Carmel Kazemi told him that his actions have led to a death. Keegan went on the attack with a knife against the vandal who defaced Shakils poster – having intended to only scare him, Keegan was soon surrounded and lashed out in the brawl.

As he drew blood and the teenager fell to the ground, Keegan fled and Carmel approached hesitantly to find the horrific scene. As Keegan arrived home and started taking off his blood soaked clothes and packing them into a bag, Carmel called round to confront him.

Keegan broke down when she told him that the boy had died and Keegan didnt know what to do as he begged Carmel for help and assured her that he never meant to hurt anyone. Carmel remained cold towards him, telling him to do that in front of Shakils poster made him just as bad as her sons killers.

She told him it would be wrong of her to let him get away with doing to another mother what she is going through – and she urged him to turn himself in to the police and confess to his crime. A terrified Keegan could see that his life was falling apart and he fell apart as the enormity of what he had done struck him hard.

It remains to be seen what Keegan will do and whether he will reveal what happened to the police but fans are now fearing that he could be leaving the soap having caused a death.

There will be more dramatic scenes to follow and the turn of events lead Carmel to decide to leave Walford behind once and for all as she cant live around the raw memories of Shakil and the violence which took him from her.

But whether Keegan will also be leaving remains to be seen.
