20 soap spoilers: Coronation Street cheat exposed, EastEnders attack, Emmerdale heartbreak and Hollyoaks baby trauma
Its the week before Christmas and soapland isnt the happy place it should be, with a Hollyoaks couple receiving devastating news about their baby and a Coronation Street couple splitting for good.
In EastEnders, Jean is left shaken after a violent mugging, but a surprising face is there to off her a helping hand.
Emmerdales Debbie heads off for her day in court but Sarah is struggling to cope with the idea she might lose her mum. Meanwhile Daz is happy to let Amelia take the fall for his actions until Dan becomes the voice of reason.
Its a sad end for Kana in Coronation Street as Kates desperate actions catch up with her.
And an old face shows up in Hollyoaks when Mandy turns to him for advice.
Coronation Street
After Kates plan for Robert to father her baby falls through, she accidentally stumbles on a back up plan – Adam. The pair get tipsy and flirty so she pounces on him, and he reciprocates. But the pair are spotted by Imran and Alya tells Rana what he saw. Devastated, she tells Kate its over between them and that theres no going back.
Jennys drinking and scheming both get out of hand. Shes raging when she checks her tracking app to find Johnny and Liz together and she turns more and more to the bottle. In a drunken moment she has an idea and does something even further to hurt Liz. But karma comes to get her during a row with Johnny and she misses her footing, falling down the stairs. Will she survive?
Tim gets drunk at the Christmas party and tells Gina he thinks its only fair he gets to cheat too, given that Sally cheated on him. Later, after being kicked out of the Bistro he ends up at the top of a fire escape singing at the top of his lungs. Gina goes up to talk him down and the two share a moment. As he becomes maudlin, talking about missing his wife, he leans in for a kiss.

EastEnders
Jean becomes the victim of a brutal attack as shes mugged for her bag, but thankfully Ian is there to save the day. Shes left shaken but the two bond over the incident. Could love be blossoming between these two?
Everyones concerned for Hayley, who has moved in with the Ahmeds along with the baby as she reveals shes still wants to give her up. Alfie decides he cant let that happen and concocts a plan to get her to move home. Kat is overjoyed when Hayley walks back through the door, but theres a nasty surprise in store for her when a familiar face turns up in the Square.
The choir singers are gutted to learn that Morag missed the deadline so they wont be competing in the competition. But Jean tries to buoy them all up with the idea of putting on a show anyway. Karen and Kim go head to head for the coveted soloist spot in the choir, and the pressure leads Jean to make a snap decision.
Emmerdale
Debbie Dingle is facing her day in court and prepares to leave Sarah behind. Her daughter blames Joe and Graham for whats happening, and is consumed with anger over her mums predicament. Faith feels for Sarah and comes up with a plan to let her fury out – by breaking in to Home Farm.
Jacob is still acting up so Maya offers to talk to him. He admits hes jealous so she offers to hang out with him more, later sending him a text that gives him hope that there could me something between them. He tells Ellis about an older woman that hes seeing, who feeds the info back to David and Maya is left anxious and angry by what hes done. She confronts him, telling him to leave her alone and hes heartbroken.
PC Swirling arrives in the village to reveal theres been a development in Amelias case and they think she knows more than shes letting on. Amelia is petrified of the consequences, but believing shes too young to go to prison Daz lets her continue to take the blame. But when he confesses that he is really the culprit, Dan is disgusted hes letting his daughter take the rap. Dan orders him to come clean, but will he?

Hollyoaks
Mandy confesses to Darren that their baby might have spina bifida, and they face having a scan the next day to find out one way or another. Darren is devastated Mandy kept it secret, but Nancy and Jack convince him he must be with Mandy at the scan. The two are heartbroken to learn their baby does have the condition.
Jack goes all in with the present giving and buys Breda a puppy for Christmas. Shes taken aback by the gesture and eventually names him Bronzer, but given her recent killing spree, will she be able to keep him alive?
Mandy is so upset about the news about her baby she turns to a former flame for comfort and advice – visiting Luke in prison to cry on his shoulder.
