A$AP Rocky and Skepta rep New York City and London in new video for Praise The Lord (Da Shine)
Collaboration of the year?
A$AP Rockys long-awaited new album Testing finally dropped last month, with the likes of Frank Ocean, Moby and FKA Twigs all guesting on the studio project.
A huge highlight on the new record is the Skepta-featuring single Praise The Lord (Da Shine), which has now been given the video treatment.
The New York City/London link-up is a recorder-led banger, and the two rappers hometowns are proudly represented in the tracks accompanying video, which dropped yesterday (5 June).
Shot on location in the two iconic cities, the hazy, split-screen clip initially sees Rocky and Skepta (with their respective crews) in their hometowns – with one part featuring Skepta performing his verse outside a tower block in Abbey Wood, east London.
The video culminates with the two screens – and therefore cities – merging, bringing to life the US and UK connect we hear on the track.

Its a pretty formidable visual work which does plenty of justice to a track which were sure to be throwing on at every opportunity this summer.
Lets hope that this is just the start of A$AP Rocky and Skeptas creative partnership.
Rocky has previously compared the sound of his new album to the experience of tripping on LSD.
Ive discovered sounds that Ive never heard before, so Im trying to manifest all of that into my new stuff, he said. Do you ever hear people when they describe that LSD experience, and they tell you about colours that they never seen before?
Thats what Im trying to describe. Its like the manifestation of drugs… without being so vocal about it.
While you should all stay off the drugs, we can tell you that Testing really is quite the trip.
