De Grey Mining broad gold hits at Crow define another large system at Hemi Discovery

De Grey Mining Limited (ASX:DEG) received broad gold intersections from the Crow deposit which have confirmed another large system at the Hemi Discovery in WA's Pilbara region.

All six holes in a reverse circulation (RC) program have intersected broad-scale, semi-continuous gold mineralisation, including 89 metres at 0.6 g/t from 43 metres.

Mineralisation has now been demonstrated to extend the entire length of drilling from Aquila to the north across the large Crow intrusion.

Other strong results are:

  • 63 metres at 0.9 g/t from 26 metres,
  • 14 metres at 0.7 g/t from 169 metres,
  • 44 metres at 0.4 g/t from 123 metres,
  • 32 metres at 0.4 g/t from 61 metres, and 8 metres at 0.7 g/t from 106 metres

“Large tonnage gold deposit”

Technical director Andy Beckwith said: “The potential for another large tonnage gold deposit similar to Brolga is very encouraging.

“These are the first six RC holes we have drilled into Crow.”

The results show an extensive more than 400 metres wide zone of semi-continuous gold mineralisation throughout the entire intrusion from Aquila through to Crow.

Beckwith said: “The alteration and gold mineralisation at Crow is similar to that seen at Brolga.

“Looking at the cross-section, if the gold mineralisation at Aquila and Crow join at depth then we have a target larger than Brolga with a potential lateral width of more than 700 metres.

“Drilling is at an early stage and we look forward to further testing this potential.”
