Download 2018 adds a mammoth 65 bands to the line-up including You Me At Six, Black Stone Cherry, Cradle of Filth and Marmozets
The legendary British metal festival has already blown audiences away with by announcing Guns N’ Roses, Ozzy Osborne and Avenge Sevenfold.
And Download’s organizers haven’t decided to turn the volume down when it comes to the rest of the bill, as following a second line-up release in December they’ve added another power chord-crunching, riff-slinging, headbanging bands to the roster tonight.
Joining the likes of Alexis On Fire and Marilyn Manson at Donington’s world famous racetrack are the likes of pop punkers You Me At Six, Kentucky rockers Black Stone Cherry, the iconic Cradle Of Filth, and Leeds natives Marmozets.
Other huge names in the heavy genres coming to the festival over its three day run in June are Shinedown, Hatebreed, The Bronx, Less Than Jake and Cancer Bats.
The hugely influential grunge pioneers L7 have also been tapped up for an appearance as have shred lords Dragonforce.
We’re talking serious headbanging, and equally serious air guitaring here.
It’s also worth noting that legendary nu-metal frontman Jonathan Davis of Korn will be making his first Download appearance as a solo artist after recently revealing plans to release a solo record in 2018.
Having made huge waves in America, packing in support slots for the likes of the Foo Fighters and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Derby’s own answer modern glam rock, The Struts, will make a triumphant homecoming.
