Whoopi Goldberg ended up having a dream come true on todays Loose Women – as she was invited onto the set to meet the Eastenders cast.

The American icon is a massive fan of the BBC soap and so in honour of her visit to the UK, the panel show decided to make her day by getting a surprise video message from the Square.

Adam Woodyat, who plays Ian Beale on the show favourite, stunned her to silence as he excitedly told her thank you for being a fan.

Whoopi then admitted: I was kind of in shock because theyve taken Eastenders away from us.

She then revealed that part of the shows appeal was that no one looked like theyd been done and that anyone from down the street could be a character on the show.

Nadia Sawalha, who played Annie Palmer on the soap in the late 90s, caused Whoopi to geek out as she asked all about her time in the pub.

Together the pair then recreated the legendary Youre not my muvva scene, complete with a Queen Vic backdrop just to make sure the Hollywood actress got the full Enders experience.

Whoopi has been keeping busy during her time in the UK, and earlier this week filmed an episode of Graham Norton where she gave band BTS the shirt off her back as a thank you for spreading joy to the world.

Loose Women continues weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1.
