Emmerdale star Danny Miller confirms break from Twitter after hitting out at homophobic abuse
Emmerdale star Danny Miller is taking a break from Twitter after hitting out at the social media platform for not doing enough to combat abuse and harassing accounts. The actor, who plays Aaron Dingle in the soap, has been subjected to abuse from several anonymous accounts which he believes to be the same troll each time.
He took to his account to share a response from Twitter to a report he lodged over a tweet which included vulgar homophobic language. Twitter had taken the decision not to take any action as they stated that it didn’t appear to go against the guidelines.
Honestly @Twitter sort your shit. To say that the word ‘Faggot’ isn’t offensive. And to say its not ‘abusive behaviour’ when this is my SIXTEENTH complaint about the same dead leg with a different account.. Won’t be on here much longer I can tell you that. Sort. Your. Shit. Out!! pic.twitter.com/Xf2wQ0aWCL

Instructing Twitter to ‘sort their shit out’, the popular actor shared a screengrab of Twitter’s response and questioned how they could allow such terms and behaviour to go unchallenged.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Danny confirmed that he was going to take a step back from the social media platform and have an extended break from his account.
The actor had lodged 16 complaints previously against the trolling he has been subjected to. Fans have spoken out in support of him in the wake of him calling out the abuse.
On screen, Danny has won more critical acclaim for emotional and heartwarming scenes which saw Aaron reunite with his true love Robert Sugden.
