Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden plan another baby after surprise wedding
Emmerdale couple Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have confirmed that they plan to expand their family with a third child following their recent surprise wedding. The pair sprung an impromptu ceremony on their friends and family after a nine year engagement, with Charley’s proud brother Jamie Lomas giving her away.
Charley and Matt, who play Debbie Dingle and David Metcalfe respectively in the soap, already have two children together – Buster, aged 7 and Bowie, aged 2. But Charley has admitted that she doesn’t want to leave the gap as wide between her second and third child.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, the star was asked whether they are going to have another baby and she responded: ‘I think so, but, again, it’s that thing of not putting too much pressure on ourselves. But we want a smaller gap between Bowie and our third child.
‘I certainly didn’t want to be pregnant at our wedding, so we were always going to wait until after that.’
Matt added: ‘We’d love more kids, and we love the hectic-ness of having kids. We had Buster only a couple of years into our relationship, and we’d like to keep that madness going. We love having children around.’
The couple began dating in 2007 after meeting and working together on the show. Both are currently involved in major storylines in the show with Debbie having been partially responsible for the acid attack on Ross Barton and David about to discover the troubled past of his wife Tracy Shankley.
