Altech Chemicals ahead of schedule with electrical substation at HPA plant in Malaysia

Altech Chemicals Ltd (ASX:ATC) continues to progress construction of the key electrical substation within the high purity alumina (HPA) plant site in Johor, Malaysia and is now ahead of schedule.

Major structural works are complete and the majority of external detailing of the building has been finished.

The EPC consortium comprising SMS group and Metix and sub-contractors have started internal finishing and architectural detailing, completing sewerage and drainage works, and finalising vehicle access requirements.

The substation is now expected to be completed next month, about four weeks ahead of schedule.

North aspect of construction progress

Handover of the building to Altech will take place after final inspection and the identification of any punch list items.

The substation will be turned over to the local electricity service provider TNB (Tengaga Nasional Behad) for inspection by its project team ahead of switchgear installation, which is planned in parallel to the HPA plant construction to ensure electricity supply is availableRead More – Source
