Who plays Bex Fowler in EastEnders as suicide storyline develops?

Things are about to take a dark turn for EastEnders Bex Fowler as she attempts to take her own life.

The teen has been struggling for some time and has more recently been overwhelmed with the prospect of leaving Walford for university in Oxford.

Who plays Bex Fowler?

Bex Fowler is played by 20-year-old Jasmine Armfield from Southend, Essex.

She attended Wickfords Pauline Quirke Academy for the Performing Arts, which has been open since 2009.

Jasmine left the academy when she was cast in EastEnders as the daughter of Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) and Martin (James Bye) in January 2014.

The actress was nominated for a 2017 TV Choice Award for Best Soap Actress but lost out to Charlotte Bellamy, who plays Laurel Thomas in Emmerdale.

What has Jasmine Armfield said about her EastEnders character?

Jasmine has spoken enthusiastically about her role as Bex in the soap.

Talking to Metro.co.uk last year, she said she hoped her characters storylines could help others going through similar situations.

She said: Finding the storylines that are relatable and that young kids can relate to is so important.
