Emmerdale spoilers: Scandal as teacher Maya Stepney shares kiss with underage student Jacob Gallagher
Theres scandal in the Dales as Jacobs feelings boil over and he plants a kiss on teacher Maya Stepney while dad Davids back is turned in Emmerdale. How will she react?
Jacobs crush has been brewing for a while as hes been indulging his feelings in getting closer with his dads girlfriend. But tonights episode saw him take things way, way too far.
After learning it was Mayas birthday, the student set about trying to make the day special, making sure his dad arranged a posh dinner and by sneaking off to get her the perfect gift.
David played right into his hands when he went off with an upset Tracy rather than turn up for his girlfriends special day. Maya was left upset when she heard her mum wasnt coming, leading Eric to quip it was odd she hadnt mentioned her mum before, and upset Maya headed home to drown her sorrows.
Finding her alone, Jacob decided to hang around, and Maya appeared to have a little flirt with him, telling him he was mature for his age and thanking him for being lovely – or at least thats how he took it. Jacob then made sure to tell Maya where he dad really was, who was left distraught when she discovered David drinking wine with his ex girlfriend. Jacob then gave his dad a dressing down, making himself look like knight in shining armour to Maya.

Later, David popped out to get them food for the evening and Jacob gave Maya the most thoughtful gift shed received – a signed copy of her favourite DVD. Buoyed by his sweet actions, she cracked open a bottle of champagne, offering teenage Jacob a drop. After he necked the glass the two had a heart to heart, and with a little dutch courage Jacob told her he liked her.
When she didnt seem to get it, he impressed upon her how he felt, and then went for it – launching a kiss on her. And just for a split second, it seemed like she kissed him back.
But she pushed him away and jumped up in a flurry, asking what he was doing and telling him he shouldnt have behaved that way.
Yet she decided to keep it a secret from David. What will happen next for these two?
