James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) has been a shell of his former self in Hollyoaks, what with his relationship with Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) having come to a devastating end, but — with Marnies (Lysette Anthony) help — hes attempted to move on, but in the coming episodes it becomes apparent that hes not ready to leave Harry in his past just yet.
This year got off to such a promising start for James — especially when Harry returned to the village and was determined to win him back. The two men started anew together, but the hit-and-run incident was the beginning of the end for their relationship, as — in spite of Harry being innocent — James found himself unable to trust his boyfriend.
As a result, he began drugging Harry, and it was these actions that ultimately led to the breakdown of the two mens relationship.
A few weeks ago, Marnie decided that it was time for James to begin dating once more, so she set him up with an online profile on a dating app. Although James wasnt pleased to learn of her meddling at first — and sabotaged his date in typical James fashion — he eventually caved, and agreed to give the app a go.
