He’s busted ghosts, been the Huntsman and played the Marvel character Thor a number of times.
Now, Chris Hemsworth has announced that he might retire from acting, despite recently stating he wanted to be in more Thor movies.
The Hollywood star is now wanting to spend more time with his family and thinks that it’s about time he puts his home life, and passion for surfing, first.
He told The Sunday Times: ‘I want to be able to take the kids to school. I may even be off all year. Maybe, it’s time to just cash in and check out and surf for the rest of my life.’
The 34-year-old opened up about how it was getting harder and harder to leave his kids when he was away filming for weeks and explained that when he was about to leave they would cry ‘don’t go.’
He said: ‘I just couldn’t handle it, so I’d be like, “I’ll bring you back a present.” And they’re like, “Oh, OK.” Their mood changes.’
Although they may miss their dad when he’s away, apparently his kids like to tease the actor when he is back at home.
The father-of-three revealed that one of his boys is more into DC than Marvel and has a full Wonder Woman costume because ‘she is stronger than Thor’.
There is no need to worry about him leaving the screen anytime soon though, as he has plenty of projects on the cards.
