Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) makes her big return to EastEnders in the coming episodes, as she arrives back in the Square with grandmother Dot Branning (June Brown). However, her return is the last thing on Walford residents minds on the day in question, as — with the pressures piling on — Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) attempts to take her own life.
Bexs last day in Walford arrives, and Sonias (Natalie Cassidy) determined to see her daughter off with a big party — something which Bex isnt pleased about when she discovers the truth. Nonetheless, she agrees to attend. As Stuart (Ricky Champ) wishes Bex good luck for her future, the pair are interrupted by Dot, who returns unannounced. Whats more, shes not alone, as shes brought her granddaughter Dotty with her.
Dot gives her nearest and dearest an update on what shes been getting up to over the past couple of months. Meanwhile, Tiffany (Maisie Smith) is wary when she discovers that Dotty will be staying in Walford for the foreseeable.

Meanwhile, following an appearance at her party, Bex returns back home to the Branning household. With the stress of everything that shes had to deal with over the past few months weighing on her mind — not to mention the thought of leaving Walford — she finds herself unable to cope, and — unbeknownst to those enjoying themselves at the party — shes planning to take her own life.
