Emmerdale has started the weekend with a bit of a cliffhanger as Rebecca White has finally started to wake up after being in a coma for several weeks in the wake of the tragic crash which killed Chrissie and Lawrence. And her coming round could spell the end for Lachlan as she may remember that he was the one to cause the tragedy.

Lachlan has been on tenterhooks concerning the fate of his aunt and even contemplated killing her at one point only to realise that he can’t go through with it. Knowing that if she died, Robert Sugden would be in control of Seb’s inheritance, Lachlan was even more conflicted over what outcome he wanted.

Robert assured Lachlan that he was there for him no matter what happens and everything has changed – he has no interest in the money but just wants Rebecca to pull through and be there for her son.

And it appears that Robert’s hope is paying off as Rebecca’s eyes started to stir in the hospital. Next week, Lachlan and Robert get the good news that Rebecca has come round but Rebecca will be hit with the horrifying news of Chrissie and Lawrence’s deaths.

But as she digests the enormity of this terrible bombshell, she will terrify Lachlan by shouting out that she remembers what he did. Having inherited £400k from his relatives’ estate and now in a comfortable relationship with Belle Dingle, Lachlan had hope for his future.
