Little Women 2019 cast and where youve seen them before
What better way to reinvent the classic tale of Little Women with a cast full of incredible actresses, and a woman director (Greta Gerwig).
Some of the biggest names in Hollywood are part of the 2019 adaptation, as well as a couple of up-and-coming ones that you should definitely keep an eye on.
The official trailer for the movie was released yesterday, with the film set to drop in the US on Christmas day.
So, although we have a fairly long time to wait until we can watch it in cinemas, its clear the hype is building to the festive season and some wholesome watching.
With that in mind, lets take a look at the cast of Little Women, and where youll have seen them before.
Saoirse Ronan – Jo March
Playing tomboy Jo in the movie is Gerwig-favourite Saoirse Ronan.

The Irish star is no stranger to period dramas, having got her big break as a teenager in Atonement alongside Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.
Further roles that propelled her to fame included in The Lovely Bones and Hanna, with the 25-year-old going on to win a Best Actress Golden Globe for Lady Bird two years ago.
More recently, she starred as Mary Queen of Scots in the 2018 film of the same name.
Emma Watson – Meg March
We first saw Emma as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, but shes come a long way since then.
Making her way into meatier roles, she played an LA house robber in The Bling Ring, and a dreamy teen in Perks of Being a Wallflower.
As Belle in Beauty and the Beast in 2017, she then proved that she could go from serious to fantasy with no problems.
Florence Pugh – Amy March
English Florence Pugh recently wowed audiences in the Ari Aster horror flick, Midsommar. Her haunting performance was critically acclaimed, and likely burned onto the brains of everyone who watched it.
Previously, she has won awards for her portrayal as Katherine Lester in Lady Macbeth, and gained traction in John Le Carre adaptation The Little Drummer Girl on the BBC.
We expect bigger things to come for 23-year-old Florence, so keep an eye out.

Eliza Scanlen – Beth March
Like many of our favourite stars, Eliza had her acting debut on Aussie soap Home and Away.
Across the pond, however, her big break came on HBO drama Sharp Objects alongside Amy Adams.
Despite only just turning 20, Eliza has two major films as well as Little Women due to be released soon; Babyteeth and The Devil All the Time.
Timothée Chalamet – Theodore Laurie Laurence
Most people recognose Timothée from coming-of-age flick Call Me By Your Name, but hes been in a whole load of other bits before and since.
As well as working beside Saoirse Ronan in Lady Bird, hes appeared in Interstellar and TV drama series, Homeland.
His role in Beautiful Boy landed him the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
Laura Dern – Marmee March
Laura Dern is a powerhouse in Hollywood, having earned four Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as being nominated for two Academy Awards.
Some of her most famous films include Jurassic Park, Citizen Sam, and Afterburn.
