A Spanish man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a British holidaymaker following a night out in the northern city of Valladolid.
The 18-year-old said the local, 27, forced himself on her in La Roasaleda park hours after they had first met.
Her alleged attacker was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance before an investigating judge.
That ruling came after the judge concluded the Brit had been drinking heavily and it was doubtful she could have consented to sex.
Investigations continue and it will be for a criminal court in Valladolid to decide whether or not there is enough evidence to try the suspect.
