Beer Farm in the pink for charity ball

An angel themed ball is coming to the Beer Farm to support the McGrath Foundation and raise money for their two breast cancer nurses in the South West. The Pink Ball will be held during the week of Pink Up Our Region at the Beer Farm between 7pm and midnight on Friday August 9. Pink up Our Region is happening all the way from Busselton to Augusta and everywhere in between from August 5 to 11. A whole range of activities will be held during Pink Up Our Region including a ladies lunch, pink wine tours and businesses will be making their products pink. Tickets to the ball cost $110 or $145 with return transport provided by Gannaways from Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River and can be purchased at pinkupourregion.com.au/events/the-pink-ball/. Pink Up Our Region chairperson Deb Noonan said Cape Chauffeurs have also donated a 10-person limo which could be bid on at a silent auction on the website for anyone who wanted to rock up in style. "The Beer Farm have been amazing, they have donated their staff, the catering, George and Ian have just bent over backwards," she said. "It is a rock-and-roll ball, we will have three bands and tickets include a champagne on arrival and food, there will also be an auction and silent auction as well. "There will be a number of surprises on the night that I cannot divulge. "We are hoping to get 400 people to the ball." The Beer Farm will be transformed for the Pink Ball with a pink and white lounge on the grassed area, the band and dance floor will be inside. "It is up to people if they wear pink, it is not a ball to get dressed up fancy, you will need comfortable shoes because there will be plenty of dancing," Ms Noonan said. "Some people are going all out and getting dressed up in pink and their outfits are wonderful, for others it is a chance to glam up, we do not get to do that very often in the South West."
