Many have pondered lifes eternal questions including the age old mystery of what would happen if Jack White and Jack Black ever met in real life.
Well, wonder no more for there is now photographic evidence that the pair have met – and it turns out, what happens is that Tenacious D simply got a new merch guy.
Jacks band shared a picture of the meeting on their Instagram page, joking that the band hired a new merch guy as Jack (White) posed with a T-shirt.
The pairs names have inspired countless dad jokes about what would happen if they joined forces and recorded an album together – the punchline is they could be called Jack Grey – so much so that Jack (Whites) record label Third Man Records took to Twitter in 2015 to retweet 55 tweets making that exact same dad joke.

Imagine how many there are now that its four years later and dads are on the platform?

Of course the pair are thought to have met before – they both attended the MTV VMAs in 2006 and in 2007 Jack (Black) introduced Jack (Whites) band The White Stripes ahead of a performance.
Still, now they have met we have to ask if a collaboration is on the cards?
