Get your Irish jigs perfected as B*witched are set to charm you once again with a brand new album.

However, fans could be in for quite the surprise as its reported that the Irish groups new music will be steering clear of cheesy pop.

B*Witched released their last album, Awake and Breathe, in 1999, but they did treat fans to an EP, Champagne or Guinness, in 2014 following their stint on The Big Reunion.

According to The Sun, Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad OCarroll, are returning with a third studio album to celebrate their 20th anniversary – the group dropped their self-titled debut album in October 1998.

A source reportedly told the publication: The girls have been wanting to do original music for some time. They are hoping this will be their big return to form.

It is claimed that B*Witched are avoiding their much-loved cheesy pop sound as, understandably, they have evolved over the last two decades.

The source continues: They were obviously known for their big cheesy pop songs but they have steered well clear of that, because they dont think they can match to what they did in the past. The songs they have spent the past few years working on are more mature, which might not be what the fans are expecting or hoping for.

Fans will undoubtedly support the band in their new chapter!

News of the anniversary album have been around for some time. In March 2017, Edele told the newspaper of the record: Were gonna be what we are now musically and what we feel now. Were not gonna try to tap into what we were because thats nostalgia and the music industry has moved on so much as we all have … weve updated it so we feel comfortable with it.

B*Witched dominated the airwaves in the late 90s with their debut single, Cest La Vie, earning the group their first number one. Three more chart-toppers soon followed with Rollercoaster, To You I Belong and Blame It On The Weatherman winning over the UK singles chart.
