Dog leaps out of stolen motor home during high-speed police chase
A dog decided it wanted no part of a high-speed police chase.
The animal was seen jumping from a stolen motor home during a 60mph pursuit in Santa Clarita, near Los Angeles.
The dog made its exit after the RV was crashed into several cars and a palm tree, which tore off the passenger-side door and wrecked the front end.
When the van eventually came to a standstill the windscreen was dangling on the bonnet.
Police have arrested Julie Ann Rainbird, 52, after she allegedly stole the vehicle from a woman in Granada Hills.
The dog had got out of harms way after leaping from the drivers lap out of the shattered windscreen.

It appeared to be fine when it landed and police later confirmed it had suffered no life-threatening injuries.
Another dog was seen dangling from the window until the motor home finally crashed into another car at high-speed in a residential neighbourhood.
The suspect got out and ran with the dog but she was quickly tackled by authorities.
The dog was captured and led away.
