Hollyoaks fans have been left in shock after learning what Laurie Shelby has put wife Sinead Shelby through.
Horror as Laurie rapes Sinead in Hollyoaks tonight
Sinead (formerly OConnor, played by Stephanie Davis) returned to Hollyoaks in autumn of last year, after having been absent from the soap since 2015.
With her she brought a new husband in the form of teacher Laurie (Kyle Pryor).
But underneath Lauries easy-on-the-eyes exterior, theres a malicious mind, and hes showing himself to be increasingly violent towards his own wife…
What did Laurie do to Sinead?
Last night on Hollyoaks, Laurie raped his wife Sinead after an argument.
Afterwards, we saw some shocking and indefensible scenes in which he gaslights Sinead into not only not calling the police, but into doubting that hed even raped her in the first place.

The argument started because Sinead, who was feeling hurt and rejected by Laurie when he didnt call while he was away on a school camping trip, kissed Sami Maalik (Rishi Nair).
The trip happened to be with Lauries fellow teacher Sienna (Anna Passey), with whom Sinead has feared that Laurie is having an affair.
As it happens, Sinead is half right – Sienna has been fending off Lauries persistent harassment for weeks.
Ste Hay (Kieran Richardson) saw the kiss between Sinead and Sami, and when Laurie found out, their ensuing row ended with Lauries cruel act of rape and subsequent manipulation.
