‘Deadpool 2’ Trailer Arrives: It’s An X-Force To Be Reckoned With

Ryan Reynolds and all of Deadpool’s foul-mouthed glory returns in the first trailer for Deadpool 2, the sequel to 20th Century Fox and Marvel’s X-Men-ish blockbuster 2016 pic that became the biggest R-rated movie of all time with its $783.1 million global gross.

The new pic introduces Josh Brolin’s mutant baddie Cable and some new Marvel characters — or as Wade calls them his “super duper f*cking group” that is “tough, morally flexible — and can carry their own franchise for 10 to 12 years — to stop him. That includes Zazie Beetz as Domino along with Terry Crews, and back from the first pic Brianna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead and the Stefan Kapicic as Colossus. Deadpool christens them his X-Force.

(Yes, Fox has already set Drew Goddard to write and direct X-Force, the X-Men universe pic that revolves around Deadpool and Cable leading a Black Ops force of down and dirty mutant warriors. It joins the studio’s Marvel X-men lineup that includes the upcoming spinoffs X-Men: New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

David Leitch is directing Deadpool 2 from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick’s screenplay. The pic has a May 18 release date and by the looks of the trailer it is spot on with the original.
