(Picture: ITV)

Rana Habeebs (Bhavna Limbachia) death devastated the whole of Weatherfield, but the heartbreak wont stop there. In the coming weeks of Coronation Street the ripple effects of the tragedy will turn into huge tsunami waves that will engulf Carla Connors (Alison King) life as she knows it.

Itll all begin unravelling for her very soon as she comes to terms with the trauma her blase attitude to the structural problem has caused.

Things are only set to get worse for the factory owner as the truth will come out and trigger a chain of events that will see her sink deep into psychosis, will see the street fully turn against her, and will kick off a hate campaign and search for justice from a bereaved Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo).

Here are 8 big things still to come from the roof collapse storyline.

1. Carla confesses at the most inopportune time and gets arrested

After Ranas traditional funeral, Kate decides to hold a memorial. Shes still unaware of Carlas part in Ranas death and leans on her for support. Carlas guilt will be triggered, but its Robert who forces her hand and a confession comes pouring out – he stands up in front of the gathered mourners and points the finger of blame. Under pressure, Carla cracks and reveals to everyone that she did know the roof needed a repair, but she tries to reassure them she had no idea it would collapse.

As Peter tries to stop Kate from going to the police she tells him its too late – and Carla is arrested for Gross Negligence Manslaughter.

2. Roy rejects Carla

Imran tells Roy he intends to make Carla pay for what she did and a disgusted Roy agrees her actions have been despicable. As she returns from the police station he tells her to move out so she heads Peters. But Kate intercepts her and dubs her a murdering bitch in the street.

3. Carla goes missing

As the street reels from learning the truth, Carla is set to do a runner when it all becomes to much for her – everyone is against her, including her own dad and sister, and even Roy. She has just Peter to rely on, and feeling so hated and alone she flees.

Pictures have surfaced of Peter battling his way into a squat in the hope of finding Carla and bringing her home. Does she fall into drugs to try to cope? With a terrible mental health issue on the cards for her, could psychosis lead her to do something terrible?

6. The killer will be revealed in May
