Mum of New Zealand victim dies of broken heart after sons funeral
The mother of a Christchurch terror victim has died of a heart attack just hours after her sons funeral.
Kamel Darwish, 38, a married father-of-three, was tragically killed when a gunman opened fire in the Al Noor mosque during Friday prayers on March 15, killing 50 people.
His funeral was held on Friday and the morning after his mother, Saud Abdelfattah Mhaisen Adwan, 65, also passed away.
According to the New Zealand Herald, an official from the Sydney-based Jordanian Embassy confirmed that Saud suffered a heart attack.
But some have said the mother passed away from a broken heart.

Family friend Yaser Mohammad told the news site: She came yesterday to attend the funeral.
Apparently this morning she passed away because she couldnt put up with the sorrow and sadness of losing her son.

They are arranging to take the coffin back to Jordan.
Dairy farm worker, Kamel, had moved from Jordan to New Zealand around six months ago to join his older brother Zuhair, while his wife Rana and children, aged 2, 6 and 8, had applied for visas to join him.
His older brother has lived in New Zealand since 2007 and reportedly convinced his brother to make the move, believing it was a safer place to raise his family.
