Idris Elba could be joining Lord Of The Rings actor Andy Serkis and Thomas Brodie-Sangster in a Fox adaptation of popular comic Mouse Guard.

The Boom! Studios comic adaptation will be directed by Wes Ball (the man behind the Maze Runner), with the film set in a medieval world.

It will tell the story of an order of mice who are sworn protectors of the realm.

The 46-year-old Luther star is reportedly in talks to play Celanawe, an Obi-Wan Kenobi-like figure who was once a legendary champion and now thought long gone.

Were here for it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Serkis will star as the villain – which isnt a big surprise given his proclivity towards dark characters.

Brodie-Sangster, who starred in Love Actually, will play the role of Lieam, who has to prove is bravery in the movie.
