Well, we might as well get the tissues out now – Toy Story 4 is going to be one emotional ride.

So says Buzz Lightyear himself, Tim Allen, anyway, and he should know, seeing as hes already quite knowledgeable about what well be faced with in the final chapter of the astronaut and his right hand pal Woody.

When chatting to The Talk about his final turn to infinity and beyond, this week, he said he had to resist getting emotional.

Well man, if the guy cant even TALK about the scene, how are we going to fare watching it?

Adding it was an incredibly great story, Tim said: It is so emotional, its so funny, its so big, the idea theyve come up with, Im startled.

I couldnt even get through the last scene. I would love to be a Washington leaker.

Oh god, this is going to be worse than the incinerator scene, isnt it?

While he was pushed to reveal more details, to start to prepare our delicate hearts for what is to come, he would only say: Theyve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.

Yeah, you mentioned that, mate.

Tim the Toolman had previously opened up on the fourth spin, as he said they could have easily ended with the third movie – which was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar in 2010 – being the best of the bunch.

He told Entertainment Weekly: Its emotional and funny and exciting and different and took it to a whole new level. It walks the line between comfort – you know whats going on – and discomfort – wondering whats gonna happen. Its terrifically emotional.

The final instalment will see Tom Hanks return as main character Woody, alongside Tim Allen, who have both helmed the franchise from the first movie in 1996.

With them will be Joan Cusack, Bonnie Hunt and Laurie Metcalf who will reprise their roles of Jessie, Dolly and Mrs. Davis.

And because we evidently have a friend in him, Randy Newman will return as the composer – with the film set to hit cinemas in summer 2019.
