EastEnders spoilers: Ray Kelly is dead but will Mel Owen go to prison for son Hunter?

Mel and Hunter Owen have been left in a terrible situation in EastEnders now that Ray Kelly is dead. Hunter has blood on his hands after shooting Ray but we know the lengths that Mel will go to in order to protect her troubled son – could she be about to take the rap for his crime?

After saving his mum from murderous Rays clutches after her wedding day revenge backfired, Hunter now stands at a crossroads – does he hand himself in or does he try and cover up Rays death?

Mel is shocked by what her actions have led to and her instinct is to protect him from prison – but how far is she prepared to go in order to stop him going down? As the pair have to think fast in the woods, some big decisions are made.

This has bonded them closer together in the most destructive way but can they both stay on the same wavelength and come out of this dark situation the other side?
