Golden Globes nominations 2019 and how to watch the awards in the UK

The first big show of awards season is just days away – the Golden Globes.

Stars from the film and TV worlds will be descending on The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday, all vying to leave with one of the snazzy newly-designed globes.

The Golden Globes is seen as the precursor to the Oscars – who wins what on the night gives movie insiders a good idea of who could land – and go on to win – Academy Award nominations.

This year, Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg will be hosting the show, with a number of other celebrities joining in as guest presenters, including Saoirse Ronan and Gary Oldman.

The Golden Globes Awards are taking place on Sunday 6 January 2019.

Guests will start arriving on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton at around 5pm Pacific Time, although this is around 1am on Monday morning here so be ready to stay up late if you want to catch all of the action.

Unfortunately, no UK TV channels will be broadcasting the ceremony, but you can keep up-to-date with Metro.co.uks coverage here.
