Avengers theory predicts Endgame will be told from Tony Starks point of view
We still have several months to wait until we catch the deal with the next instalment in the Avengers saga, Endgame. However, one punter has suggested the whole thing will be about Tony Stark.
And were not mad.
The trailer was released earlier this month and starts with Iron Man floating about in space, with his water and food gone, and oxygen depleting completely the following day.
So it makes sense, perhaps, that the ensuing battle may see Tones back in the forefront and chasing down the Mad Titan Thanos after he snapped half the planet away.
In a well-supported theory on Reddit, one MCU fan has proffered the idea based on the trailer first of all that Endgame will focus on Stark going back in time to obtain the six Infinity Stones that saw Thanos create the gauntlet to wreak havoc.

User u/Asongofparksandrec said that while Infinity War was Thanos movie, this one is all about Tony Stark.
The trailer of infinity war was from Thanos perspective. The movie itself was from his perspective. The Endgame trailer is from Tonys perspective. So I figure the movie will be from his perspective, they said, on the money so far.
Over all of the marvel movies, in one way or the other Tonys character was build up. With each movie he matured. Until his maturity reached its peaked with passing on what he achieved to Peter Parker whom he felt responsible for. Tony was basically a father figure to Peter. Yet Tony failed when Peter died. Same like Thanos felt he failed, when his home planet collapsed.
I believe that Endgame will in some way mirror infinity war. [sic]
They continued with the long-held view that the only way to defeat Thanos is to retrieve all the Infinity Stones and with another snap of the fingers, bring everyone back from the dead – or whatever alternate reality they currently find themselves in.
The Redditor added: Only this time it will be Tony who snaps his finger. How would a mortal be able to do this? With the power of him, who is cursed with knowledge. The knowledge of a mechanic.
If you remember, Thanos said those fateful words to Iron Man in the last movie, saying he was the only one cursed with knowledge.

The user added that perhaps hell do so with the help of Eitri, played by Peter Dinklage, who made Thors axe, who may craft a means of wielding the stones for the latest quest.
To add another layer to this already quite heavily-packed theory, they then suggested the OG Avengers, who survived the Snap will help in their own way – six stones, six Avengers. Makes sense, non?
But it will be Tony who brings them together as the theory continued: It was always Tony who should have held the avengers together, but he never truly achieved this. Only when he convinced them to get shawarma, but almost sacrificing himself. [sic]
They concluded: I think this movie will be about Tony finally [completing] his maturity. He will reverse his mistakes by bringing the dead to life again and might possibly sacrifice himself for real this time or even emerge to a higher level of existence. Or maybe sacrificing yourself is emerging into a higher form of existence. [sic]
Its long been suggested Tony will sacrifice himself and end up perishing in this film.
Most recently, a fan has suggested a scene in Avengers: Age Of Ultron foreshadowed the death of both Captain America and Iron Man, which is fairly heartbreaking.
Redditor u/dafsjgf called back the scene which dropped the Endgame title, and speculated that a conversation between Steve Rogers and Tony spelled bad things for the heroes in Endgame.

Tony said: A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. Were standing 300 feet below it. Were the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the livelong day but that up there, thats… Thats the endgame. How were you guys planning on beating that?
Steve replied: Together, and when Tony said: Well lose, Cap responded: Then well do that together too.
Joe Russo has also said Endgame is bringing to a close the first decade of stories launched with Iron Man in 2008.
Oh god, there are going to be tears aplenty in this film. We just know it.
Avengers: Endgams is in cinemas 26 April 2019.
