Whats on at the Bogan Shire Library this Summer holidays

A reminder of holiday activities at the library. The Summer Reading program will commence on December 11 and finish on January 29 with all log books in by February 7 2019 ( please note corrected date). This program was initiated to encourage a continued love of reading and ongoing multi-skills development in children and young people during the summer holidays. So come in and collect a Summer Reading promotion bag and register to join in. The theme for this years Summer Reading Club is Curious Creatures. Children need to read 10 books over the holiday period. All participating children will be placed in a draw for an iPod. Kids can also go online for a wealth of activities to keep you inspired throughout the holidays at www.summerreadingclub.org.au/theclub . Holiday story time for preschoolers will be held on Wednesdays (January 9, 16, 23 and 30) commencing at 10.30am. The Library will be closed for Christmas and the New Year period from December 25 and re-open January 2 2019. We will also be closed from 1pm until 3.30pm for the Bogan Shire Christmas party on December 20. We encourage all our readers to stock up for the Christmas New Year holiday period. Holiday craft mornings will be held on Tuesdays (January 8, 15, 22 and 29) commencing at 10.30am. Crafts will include key ring and ceramic plate decoration, sand art and fabric painting. “Fun with Lego” provided by Ability Links will be held at the library on Thursday 11th, 18th and 25th January from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
