Library received new technology and announces holiday program
A new touch table with games for small children has been delivered to the library this week which was funded through the NSW State Library Grants funded by the NSW State Government. Also funded by this grant are eight new computers, a new multi-functional photocopier/scanner/printer/fax machine, new air-conditioner, light fittings, EKiosk, vertical blinds and portable partition. These items will deliver a climate friendly and high-tech library service. The Summer Reading Program will commence on Tuesday, December 11 for the summer holiday period to finish on Tuesday, January 29 with all log books in by Thursday, January 7 2019. So come in and collect a Summer Reading promotion bag and register to join in. The theme for this years Summer Reading Club is Curious Creatures. Children need to read 10 books over the holiday period. Every child will receive a certificate of participation and book prize which will be presented at a presentation party. Kids can also go online for a wealth of activities to keep you inspired throughout the holidays as www.summerreadingclub.org.au/theclub . The Library will be closed for Christmas and the New Year period from December 25 and re-open Wednesday, January 2. We encourage all our readers to stock up for the Christmas New Year holiday period. We will also be closed from 1 pm to 3.30pm for Bogan Shire Christmas Party on Thursday December 20. Holiday Craft mornings will be held on Tuesdays 8, 15, 22 and 29 January 2019 commencing at 10.30am. Crafts will include key ring and ceramic plate decoration, sand art and fabric painting. Fun with Lego provided by Ability Links will be held at the library on Thursday, January 11, 18 and 25 from 10am to 12pm.
