EastEnders spoilers: Linda Carter sleeps with Stuart Highway to save Mick?

(Picture: BBC)

Linda Carter realises that she is going to have to take drastic action in order to get a confession out of sleazy villain Stuart Highway in EastEnders – even if that means seducing him!

Shes so determined to manipulate him into revealing all about how he framed incarcerated Mick that she has allowed him to get his feet under the table at the Queen Vic and he is enjoying every moment – especially when he wears Micks Santa costume.

Knowing that Ollie is missing his dad and Mick is losing hope, even refusing visits from Shirley and Tina, Linda decides to act now and shares a kiss with Stuart. But it makes her stomach churn and she ends up fleeing the room in disgust.

Kellie Bright, who plays her, told Metro.co.uk: She knows that Stuart has manipulated all of this and made it look like Mick has done this, shes the only one who is going to be able to find the truth. But shes so aware of how clever Stuart is, how he has eyes and ears everywhere, that she decided to launch herself into it completely unprepared and without thinking it through.

Shes allowing him to step into Micks shoes which she knows is what he wants and this is the bit where for her I think she becomes a bit unstuck because ultimately she has to get as close to him as she possibly can if shes got any hope of getting anything out of him and it really leads up to what wont Linda do? And it culminates in this episode where its a two-hander between myself and Ricky.

Pondering the torment of what having to be close and intimate with a man who repulses her does to Linda, Kellie continued: She kisses him in the build up to the two-hander and kind of runs out of the room and the problem is is that shes disgusted with what shes done but shes also so annoyed with herself for not being able to just do it.

Shes having to disengage herself, her emotions, everything from what shes doing and almost play it like a part and I think everything is driven by, this is going to free Mick and thats it.

One to watch: Tuesday 11th December at 7:30pm on BBC One.
