Ariana Grande releases Thank U, Next music video and fans have lost it because she didnt get married in it
The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here as Ariana Grande releases her highly-anticipated music video for Thank U, Next.
And its a movie – but it didnt get the happy ending that everyone wanted.
We already knew that the video will be based on everyones favourite noughties teen movies, including Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Bring It On and 13 Going On 30 – and we were not disappointed when finally seeing it.
What we didnt know for sure is that Kris Jenner would be in the video depicting Mean Girls Regina Georges mum – aka Im a cool mum – with a camcorder in the perfect youre doing amazing, sweetie pose.
Elsewhere in the video some fans thought they spotted Ariana in a wedding dress and fans were left emotional at the sight of their favourite about to tie the knot – only it wasnt even her!

After the video premiered at 8pm UK time, fans quickly realised that the video was showing Ari sadly walking away from a wedding scene.
Queue the tears.

Thank U, Next became an instant hit when Ariana released it shortly after breaking up with ex-fiance Pete Davidson.
Which sadly meant, for the time being, we would not be seeing Ari walk down the aisle IRL – or in a music video it seems.
The trailer had already teased the fact that there would be cameos from the likes of Jonathan Bennett (who played Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls), Bethany Byrd – aka the girl who wore army pants and flip-flops because Cady Heron wore army pants and flip-flops, Legally Blonde star Jennifer Coolidge, and maybe even a Kardashian (who we now know is Kris Jenner).
Ari also previously shared clips alongside former Sam & Cat star Matt Bennett.
Yes, we had a hunch this video would be a big deal and we werent wrong either.
Predictably, fans have gone crazy for the new video – especially after that surprise Kris Jenner cameo.

Though Pete and Ari split amicably, there were some brief barbs from Ariana on Twitter which were later deleted, about a less-than-stellar SNL skit about their breakup.

The song, which name-drops Pete, Mac Miller, Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez is an ode to her exes and break up anthem all in one, and though its already a banger, her music video looks like its going to push it even higher.
